Present Position and Professional Career
Elisa joined Y&A in 2010 and was admitted to the partnership in 2024. She has demonstrated proficiency in all areas of audit and assurance, income tax and other consulting services for an array of clients spanning industries such as construction, manufacturing, professional corporations and not-for-profit organizations.
Beyond client-focused responsibilities, Elisa plays a pivotal role in talent acquisition, leading the firm's recruitment efforts for professional staff. Additionally, her creative touch extends to overseeing marketing and design initiatives for the firm.
Education
Elisa is a graduate of the Bachelor of Commerce program at the University of Alberta (2010) and gained membership in the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta in 2013. Throughout her academic journey, Elisa distinguished herself, earning numerous awards and scholarships, including the ACAC Academic Athlete Award presented to student-athletes who achieve academic honours while participating in collegiate sports.
Professional and Community Service
Elisa remains actively involved in community and sports as a coach for her two daughters' soccer teams. She is currently on the board for a local soccer organization. Elisa has served in a board capacity with Ringette Alberta and volunteered previously with the Canada Revenue Agency Community Volunteer Income Tax Program which provides tax preparation assistance to low-income community members.
